Please keep these in mind when searching this site:
1. Searches are case sensitive. Use "West" (and "WEST") when looking for the surname. The search is set this way so researchers don't have to weed through every occurance of "Go west young man!!" 2. Some of these resources are "off-site" and that information is not spidered by this search engine. This includes the 1850 census transcriptions archived by MOGenWeb and Early Lawrence County Marriages. Links to download these files are listed at Research Files 3. Only the first occurrance of a word on any document is listed among the results. For example: in descendants of Oliver Perry Johnson there are two Soloman wives, but only the first creates a "result." The Goodspeed 1888 history text is a prime example of a document that should be searched using your browser's search function within the document itself in order to find all occurrances of a name.Although of somewhat limited value, it does help. (And it's free.)
