One cup of corn starch, 1 of butter, 2 of sugar, 1 of sweet milk, 2 of flour, the whites of 7 eggs, rub butter and sugar to a cream; mix 1 teaspoonful cream tartar with the flour and corn starch; half teaspoonful soda with the sweet milk. Add the milk and soda to the sugar and butter, then add flour, then the whites of eggs; flavor to taste. Never fails to be good.
