There is a connection to Kansas since a few were taken in Sedan, KS. Scanned from xerographic copies, these are grainy but most have recognizable features.

07/28/02 "My name is Al Mieswinkel. Both sides of my family have lived in and around Mt. Vernon since about 1830. It just so happens that I have the exact same postcard that you have posted. My father who passed away in 1999, told me the name of one person in the picture. He at one time was a farmhand for Jacob and June Weber just east of Mt. Vernon. June is the lady in the exact middle of the picture at the bottom with a hat on, has a small white line running vertically on her face. I knew June personally and this looks very much like her."
